Brantley Matthew Morris, age 2 of Slocomb, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2016 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Born on January 24, 2014, Brantley was full of life and he loved being outside.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2016 at New Hinson Baptist Church with Revs. Bryan Klobe and Wendell Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family will receive friends at the church 10 a.m. until time of service.

Brantley is survived by his parents, Daniel Matthew Morris and Anna Marie Pickron; brother Evan Morris, Allyann Pickron; grandparents, PawPaw Danny Morris, Nana Rhonda Morris, Mawmaw Tina Pickron, Papa Carl Hott, Granny Gwen Golden; Uncle Phillip Golden, special cousins Lillian, Katrina, Lexi.

Christine Kirkland Phillips, 93 of the Poplar Springs Community, Graceville, passed away at her home Tuesday, June 7, 2016.

Ms. Christine was born in Houston County, AL on September 18, 1922. She retired from Vanity Fair and was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2016at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Free and Rev. Chester Padgett officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Preceded in death by her husbands Bill Kirkland, John Phillips, mother Lillie Bell Batson Danford, one sister Marie Johnson.

Helen E. Turner, 81, of Cottondale, FL, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2016 at Shands University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

Visitation will be held June 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of James and Lipford Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, Cottondale, FL.

Helen, was born in Cottondale, FL on August 17, 1934. She was a homemaker who had a passion for gardening and loved working with her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents Allen Benjamin Carter and Gladys Irene Carter along with her husband Clarence Thomas Turner all of Cottondale.

She is survived by her four children, Barbara Turner of Pensacola, FL, Glen Turner and his wife Sherry Turner of Pace, FL, Linda Street of Cottondale, and Shiryl Fussell and her husband Thomas Fussell of Lake City, FL; five grandchildren, Stephen Street, Alexis Meadows and her husband Benjamin Meadows, Candace Parker and her husband Sam Parker, Kayla Fussell, Chelsea Douglas and her husband Logan Douglas and five Great- Grandchildren, Ethan Parker, Tyler Parker, Arynn Meadows, Reed Meadows and Aero Street.

Rosene Watford, 75 of Greenwood, FL passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at her residence.

Ms. Rosene was born in Elizabethton, TN on October 2, 1940 to the late Chauncey and Cordelia Baird Cable. She loved reading her Bible, cooking for her family, enjoying moments fishing, gardening and taking care of her pets.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at 1 p.m. until time of service.

Stanley Donald Watford, 80 of Greenwood, FL passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Stanley was born in Graceville, FL on April 21, 1936 to the late Nelson Calvin Watford and Gertrude Lewis Watford. A U. S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Stanley was a retired mechanic and independent truck driver. He loved gardening, fishing, traveling and Gator Football “Go Gators” !

Memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, July 4, 2016 at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home. Family will receive friends 1 p.m. until time of service.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years Rosene Watford, brother Wallace, two sisters Connie Watford and Lou Watford

Ethel Fears Paulk

Ethel Fears Paulk, age 88, of Campbellton, Florida, passed away peacefully in SAMC in Dothan, Alabama, on July 13th.

  Born on January 8, 1930, she attended Campbellton High School before graduating from Marianna High School in 1948. She enjoyed participating in the band at both schools and won several state awards as a majorette and drum major for the MHS band. Her artistic talent found expression in many forms, including sewing and crafting, floral design, and painting. Many will remember her wonderful cooking, but her greatest talent was making all who were blessed to know her feel loved the instant they met. She devoted her entire life to her Lord, family, and church, serving as GA director, WMU president, and choir director, among many other positions, at various times during her membership at the  Baptist Church in Campbellton and Madrid Baptist Church in Madrid, Alabama. For a short time, Ethel studied music classes taught by Professor Bartlow at BBI. Known as either “Grandma” or “Aunt Ethel” to many friends and relatives, she was always helping others through difficult times with compassion in her heart and undying devotion. She also served as president of the Houston County Home Extension Club for several years.

  Ethel was preceded in death by her parents Docia Ready and R. B. Fears, all of her ten siblings, and her son Grady.

  She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Curtis J. Paulk; two sons, Frank of Malone and Jeff (Mary Ann) of Dothan; two daughters, Marilyn (Glen) Davis and Geraldine (David) DeFelix of Campbellton; a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Hill Paulk of Panama City; grandchildren: Joel (Wendy) Paulk; Crystal (Dave) Popp; Frankie (Tina) Paulk; Daniel and Marlena Paulk; Dave (Kim) DeFelix; Matt (special friend Abby) DeFelix; and great grandchildren: Cole, Karoline, Austin, Devin, Jadyn, Jaxon, Trent, and Sarah Catherine. 

  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16th,  at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Campbellton, with visitation at the church starting one hour prior to the funeral, James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice of Houston County or The Baptist College of Florida.

Sanders Doyle Watford of Graceville, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016. He was 86.

A private family service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Graceville with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Windsor and Rev. Tim Folds officiating. The family will receive friends at James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions in Doyle’s honor be made to the First Baptist Church of Graceville, P.O. Box, 565, Graceville, FL 32440; Campbellton-Graceville Hospital, 5429 College Drive, Graceville, FL; or Covenant Care, 4215 Kelson Ave., Suite E, Marianna, FL, 32446.

Mr. Watford was born Nov. 12, 1929, in Hartford, Alabama, to the late Sanders Harvey Watford and Ammie Annie Miller Watford. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and U.S. Air Force, and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Doyle was a loving and adoring husband, father and grandfather who will be profoundly missed. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Graceville, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years, and Bethlehem Lodge No. 276 of The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Florida.

In addition to his parents and one infant brother, Doyle is preceded in death by brothers Glen, Radious, Wallace, Fred and Charles Watford, and sisters Elizabeth “Iboo” Watford Garner and Effie May Watford Hall.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Sara Helen Watford of Graceville; son David Watford, his wife, Laura, and their two sons, John David and Nathan, of Graceville; son Jack Watford and his wife Melissa of Lilburn, GA; sister-in-law Alice Faye Bush of Malone, FL; and several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.

John Michael “Johnny” Clark, 59 of Graceville passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Campbellton-Graceville Hospital following an extended illness.

Celebration of Life will be  11 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Campbellton First Baptist Church Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. Family will receive friends 10 a.m. until time of service.

Johnny was born in Graceville on October 20, 1956 to the late Eros H. “Pete” Clark and Bonnie Myrle Barfield Clark. An a Alumni of Graceville High School, Johnny was retired as Supervisor with Springhill Waste Management and a member of New Hope Assembly of God Church. He loved fishing especially for mullet, and gardening, all for his family and friends.

Survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Anita Clark, Graceville; three children Michael “Tom” Dillard, Kevin Clark, Graceville, Amy Clark, Jacksonville, FL; one brother Alfred “Buddy” Clark (Margie), Bascom, FL; four sisters Bobbie Collins (Robert), Chipley, FL, Linda Swords (Jerry), Joyce Chambers (Harold), Graceville, Faye Addison, Birmingham, AL; four grandchildren Angela Clark, Luke Clark, Preston Dillard, Addison Dillard.

Billy Wells, 80 of Esto, FL passed away, July 29, 2016 at his residence surrounded by loving family and friends.

Mr. Billy was born in Esto to the late James Omer Wells and Lizzie Pearl Watford Wells. A 1954 graduate of Holmes County High School, Mr. Billy then served in the U. S. Army. Retired from produce sales, he enjoyed fishing, nascar and being a gentleman farmer.

Celebration of His Life will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Esto Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Faircloth and Robert Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in Esto Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.

Preceded in death by one son Tommy Lacy, two brothers and two sisters, Inez Galloway, Lynette Crutchfield, Alfred Wells and Malcolm Wells.

Erma Brookins Sheffield Ware

Erma Brookins Sheffield Ware, 91 of Graceville, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

Born Erma Evelyn Nolan to the late Nuel Nolan and Mary Nixon Nolan in Nocatee, FL on August 4, 1924. Affectionately called “Miss Erma”, she graduated from high school in Live Oak, FL, attended business school in Jacksonville and later in Dothan, AL. Miss Erma retired from the Northwest Florida Regional Housing Authority. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, especially enjoying her work in the nursery. Miss Erma was an avid sports fan, especially Florida State University Seminoles, “Go Noles!!”

A Celebration of Her Life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Graceville with Revs. Tim Folds and Joe Wood officiating, Burial will follow in Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.

Family will receive friends at the church 12:30 until time of service.  In lieu of flowers family request memorials be made in her honor to a favorite charity of your choice.

Peggy Jackson, 84 of Graceville, FL passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016, surrounded by her family at Hillview Assisted Living following an extended illness.

Ms. Peggy was born January 29, 1932 in Chipley, FL, to the late O.T. and Flomey Hampton Woodham. She was a gifted artist sharing her talents not only in teaching but in sharing her gift with family and friends. She was a member of Carmel Assembly of God.

Homegoing service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2016 at Carmel Assembly of God Church with Revs. Jerry Moore, Randall Walker and Mike Browning officiating, James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. A private family graveside will be held in the afternoon.

Family will receive friends at the church 10 a.m. until time of service.

Predeceased by her husband Lawrence Jackson, daughter Linda Pelham, grandson John Allen Watson, Christie Jackson, John Edgar, brother and sisters Ken Woodham, Velma Hinson Vinson, Shirley Miles, Sue Booth.

Tami was born in Pensacola, Florida on November 3, 1962. An Alumni of Poplar Springs High School, Tami was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband James Kirkland, father Milton Harvey Vickers, mother Virginia Dozier Vickers Williams, stepfather William S. “Bill” Williams, brothers Ricky Vickers and Howard Vickers.

Joe Milton Foy

Joe Milton Foy passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 . 

A celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Madrid Baptist Church with Ministers Jayson Kirk, Addis Habbard, and Jeff Ward.   Interment will follow at Campbellton Baptist Cemetery with military honors, James & Lipford Funeral Home directing. Born in Campbellton, September 13, 1925 to Gladys Reddick Foy and Adrian “Scrap” Foy.  Graduate of Campbellton High School, he served 3 years in U. S. Navy aboard the minesweeper USS Strategy A. M. 308 as a frogman; participated in Invasion of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, and Occupation of Japan.    Joe was a combat veteran, served during World War II and Korean War.  He served 18 years in the U. S. Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1966.

He lived in DeFuniak Springs for over 37 years; managed Veteran’s Gas Company for 10 years, supported his wife in Foy’s Florist for over 12 years, and was employed by Walton County School District for over 15 years as a school bus driver.  He returned to his birthplace in October 2003.  He was a member and deacon of Madrid Baptist Church.

Joe was predeceased by his parents; two daughters: Cheryl and Dorothy; a sister, Dorothy West, and two brothers, Robert and Wilmer “Jiggs” Foy.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Annie “Lois” Talley; three children:  Joseph A. Foy and wife Linda of Crestview, Florida, John W. Foy and and wife Vicki of Piedmont, South Carolina; and Jo Anne Robertson and husband Aaron E. of Copperas Cove, Texas; two sisters Johnnie Ruth Norsworthy and Carolyn Richardson; special sister-in-law Bonnie and Carl of Newnan, GA; nine grandchildren, Kathleen (Jeremy), Kathryn, Ian, and Rylei Foy; and Kaylynn, Laurie (Will), Kevan, Brittany, and Molly Robertson and a number of nieces and nephews.

Born February 11, 1927 in Ozark, AL to the late Warner and Inez Brock Carroll. 

A graduate of Dale County High School and Riley Business College of Dothan,

Ms. Florence married the love of her live Bennie Larough Donaldson in 1947 and moved to Graceville. She worked with Jones Motor Company, Florida Welcome Station and then retired from the West Florida Electric Coop., in 2000.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Campbellton.

Preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother William (Bill) Carroll and great grandson Devilin Donaldson.

Survived by her beloved children Charles L. Donaldson (Debra Walker), daughter JoAnn (Bill) Register, Graceville; four grandchildren Amanda C. Register, Tallahassee, Melissa (Tommy) Farmer, Graceville, Stuart (Mary) Donaldson, Dothan, Alex Donaldson, Chipley; six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; one sister-in-law Doris Theris, Mobile, AL, several nieces and nephews.

Bernice Thweatt Brock, 88, of Graceville passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 21, 2016, surrounded by her loving children.

Mrs. Brock was born April 9, 1928 to Henry and Katie Daniel Thweatt in Newton, AL. When she was a young girl her family moved to Jackson County, FL where she made her home. Mrs. Brock was a homemaker and devoted mother. Her children were her greatest joy.

Mrs. Brock is preceded in death by her husband Eulon Brock, her parents, brother Clyde and infant sister and an infant grandchild Timothy Willis.

She is survived by her children Billy Brock (Leola), Gloria Ann Jones (Cecil), Katie Elizabeth Brock, Johnny Brock (Darlene), Linda Hayes (Jim), Glenda Hobbs; nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; sisters Maudie Miles, Merle Hart, Juanita Thweatt, Barbara Faye Hawthrone, a host nieces and nephews.

Our Family would like to express a special “thank-you” to Dr. Steve Davis, Staff at Doctors Memorial Hospital and Covenant Hospice for their care and kindness shown to our mother and grandmother.

Mr. Enfinger was born in Bonifay, FL on March 14, 1929 to the late Ezra Enfinger and Leanna Dykes Enfinger. He retired following 25 years of service as a Custodian with the Baptist Bible Institute known today as Baptist College of Florida and was a member of the Harmony Baptist Mission Church.

He is predeceased by his parents, granddaughter Heather Enfinger, brothers and sister Durell, Wallace, Elwood, Clarence, Curtis and Bernice.

Survived  by his beloved wife Marilyn Enfinger, son Donald Enfinger, two sisters Elaine Harris, Ponce DeLeon, FL; Mary Lee White Huntsville, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Sean Rezek officiating, James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, 5 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Family request flowers be omitted and memorials be given in Mrs. Nell’s memory  to Poplar Springs Baptist Church 1098 Lovewood Road, Graceville, FL  32440 or to the First United Methodist Church  P.O. Box 376 Graceville, FL  32440.

Mrs. Nell was born in Jackson County, FL on July 15, 1929 to the late Wilmer Snell and Bessie Underwood Snell. A graduate of Graceville High School, Mrs. Nell spent most of her life as a homemaker. Later in life she was “Mama Nell” to Kara Campbell and Alianne Watson and Annalaura Watson Collins.

She is predeceased by her loving husband David Morse Atkinson, parents and her sister Patricia Snell Grantham.

She is survived by her son Martin David Atkinson, Jacksonville FL and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the caregivers at Washington County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Paul Wayne Graham, 76 of Chipley passed away, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Bay Medical Hospice.

Mr. Paul was born in Charleston, WV on August 5, 1940 to the late Paul R. Graham and Tet Anne Vandelinde. A U.S. Navy Veteran, Mr. Paul retired from Bell Atlantic Telephone. He was a member of VFW , American Legion and the Madison, West Virginia Lions Club.

Survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Patricia Graham; children Michael (Tina) Graham, Dunkirk, MD, Elethe (Doug) Hatfield, Kansas City, MO, Christopher (Kristian) Graham, Gibsonia, PA, John P. (Wendy) Graham, Chipley, Elissa (Bob) VanLeer, Plainfield, IN; grandchildren Emily, Robin, Kelsey, Connor, Matthew, Nicholas, Tucker, Tessa, Ian, Mina, Ava, Kali and Leighenna.

Private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Marta Sue Angerbrandt, 47 of Graceville, Poplar Springs Community, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016.

Celebration of her life will be 11:30 a.m., Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home with Bro. Jerrod Jenkins officiating. Buial will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home directing.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Marta was born in Hahn AFB, Germany. A 1987 graduate of Poplar Springs High School. Marta worked in insurance for a number of years and also a Correctional Officer for the Florida Department of Corrections. She attended Grace Christian Church.

Preceded in death by her parents Neil Angerbrandt and Joan Corbitt Angerbrandt.

Survived by her two sons Tyler Hutto, Adam Bodie; step-mother Donna Angerbrandt; four brothers Jimmy Angerbrandt, Kenny Angerbrandt, Joey Angerbrandt, Nick (Rachel) Angerbrandt and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
